We made a hole at the top of a ball of clay. Then you pushed the clay down until it was flat at the bottom. Then we pinched the sides inside around in a circle to open it up. When it was open we had to make sure it was even and not too thick. Then we had to smooth the outside because there were ridges from when we pinched it. When it was all smooth and leather hard we made it even on the top and then added designs on the outside. Then we put it in the kilm once and then glazed it and then put it in the kilm again and then we were able to take them home. A successful pinch pot is one thats thin, even, and smooth. Also one that has creative designs that make it better.
Organic Pinch Pot
The organic pinch pot is better because it's smooth everywhere and it's flat on the bottom so it can stand up and not be on a slant. It's better because it looks good and is more complicated because I added fins and a face and was able to make it stay on.
Inspirtation: I choose this image to make my organic pinch pot because I wanted to make something alive that looks cool. I also wanted to do something a little more complicated then the pinch pot.
